This July, I’ll be facilitating the New York City Wednesday night dance lab at Bill Young’s Studio (100 Grand St.). July’s lab will focus on contact improvisation and VELOCITY on four Wednesday nights from July 9 to July 30, from 7pm to 9:30pm. You’re invited to attend.
Here are the details:
Possibly you! — someone with contact improvisation experience, some curiosity, and an interest in deepening your understanding or developing your skills. And me, and whoever else does this.
A contact improvisation lab, investigating the topic of VELOCITY — speed and change of direction. We will work together to deepen our understanding of contact improvisation and develop new insight or ideas (“research”).
The Lab is hosted at Bill Young’s Studio, at 100 Grand St., 2nd floor (buzzer B), in Manhattan (New York City, U.S.A.).
We’ll decide together how to do this, although I’ll be facilitating things generally and providing structure where needed. I promise to give a lot of attention to meeting everyone’s needs.
Four Wednesday sessions, on July 9, 16, 23, and 30, from 7pm to 9:30pm. There will NOT be a session on Wednesday, July 2 — the first session will be July 9. We’ll be working together over the four weeks, building a common vocabulary and rapport. July 30 will be an open session. We’ll continue with exploring these ideas collectively, but others are welcome to join or watch.
$20 total for all four sessions
IF YOU’RE INTERESTED IN JOINING
